How it works

Three steps. That's it.

1

Set up your profile

Give us your address and anything a driver should know — a cane, hearing aids, extra time at the curb. You only say it once.

2

Pick up the phone

Skip the app entirely. Call your concierge whenever you're ready to go.

3

Ride

Your driver already knows what you need before they pull up.

Meela vs. Lyft

The ride you're used to, minus the app.

Built with seniors in mind

Every ride starts with someone who already knows you.

No app, ever

Some people love the Lyft app. Others just want to talk to a person. If that's you, you never have to open an app again — a phone call is all it takes.

Said once, never repeated

A cane, hearing aids, a preference for the front seat — mention it during setup and it's passed to your driver automatically, every single ride.

A price you hear, not hunt for

Your concierge tells you the fare plus service fee out loud, before you book — nothing buried in a screen you have to scroll through.

And anything else you need

A grocery stop, help folding a walker into the trunk, a standing weekly appointment — your concierge keeps track so you don't have to repeat yourself.

In their words

"I haven't opened a rideshare app in months"

★★★★★

My daughter set up the Lyft app for me and I still never used it right. Now I call one number and someone books it for me. I haven't opened a rideshare app in months.

Helen, 79
★★★★★

I told them once that I use a cane and need a minute getting into the front seat. Every driver since has already known before I even said hello.

Your preferences ride along with you

When you sign up, your concierge asks what matters to you — a cane or walker, hearing or vision needs, a front-seat preference, extra time at the curb.

After that, it's passed to your driver automatically. You'll never have to type it into a profile again.

Get a call when your ride arrives

Set it once in your ride preferences and every driver calls you directly instead of leaving you to match a license plate to a tiny map.

It's part of your standing profile — no need to ask twice.

A real conversation, every time

Your concierge is a person, not a screen

Booking, changing, or canceling a ride is a phone call, not a menu of buttons. If something feels off, you can just ask.

Family can also get a text update on your ride, if you'd like them to.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a smartphone or the Lyft app?+

No. Meela works entirely over the phone. If you can make a call, you can book a ride — no Lyft app required.

What if I use a walker or cane, or have a hearing or vision need?+

Tell your concierge once, during setup. It's saved to your profile and passed to your driver before every pickup — you never have to repeat yourself.

Who actually drives?+

Rides are provided through a licensed, insured rideshare network. Your concierge relays your needs before pickup, so whoever picks you up already knows what to expect — you never have to explain it yourself.

How much does it cost?+

Membership is $8.25/month and covers your concierge. Each ride is billed separately at the standard fare plus a small service fee, told to you before you book — members save $2 off that fee on every ride. Full pricing details are at meela.ai/pricing.

Do you offer a free trial?+

We don't use a countdown-clock trial. Most rides aren't booked within the first week of signing up, so a 7-day trial doesn't really match how people use Meela. Instead, your first 5 trips come discounted — $5 off each way — whenever you actually take them, plus you can cancel anytime with no penalty.

What if I need a refund after I'm charged?+

You'll always get a reminder before your charge goes through. If that's still not enough and you need your money back afterward, just call your concierge — there's a refund window for that too. No tricks, ever.

Can I book the same ride every week?+

Yes — save any regular trip once (a weekly appointment, church, a hair appointment) and book it again in seconds.

Can I ask my driver to call when they arrive?+

Yes. Set it once in your ride preferences and it applies automatically to every future ride.

Is this just for me, or can family sign up on my behalf?+

This page is set up for you to sign up for your own rides. If a loved one or a senior living community wants to set it up for you instead, they can do that separately.

How is Meela different from Lyft?+

Lyft's app puts the booking and tracking in your hands. Meela is a phone-based concierge: tell us your needs once, talk to someone who already knows you, and hear your full price — fare plus service fee — before you book.

Do I need a Lyft account to use Meela?+

No. You never need a smartphone, an app, or a rideshare account of your own — your concierge handles the booking for you over the phone.

Stop fighting with the Lyft app.

$8.25/month gets you a concierge who knows your needs and makes the call. Rides are billed separately, and members save $2 on every one.
